We are using at Sibelius Academy on our desktop machines the Apple Garageband sequencer.
You are not at all forced to use Apples platform, you can do you sequencing also on Windows machines!
There are plenty of applications for sequencing ex. Reaper (Mac/Win), Cubase (Mac/Win), Nuendo (Mac/Win), Digital Performer (Mac) ja Logic Pro (Mac).
